Vice President, Technical Architecture and Capture
Damon McWhorter serves as the Vice President of Technical Architecture and Capture for Intelligent Waves. Damon brings over 20 years of proven experience working in every level of IT support, all roles within business development, and various technical and management capacities in client operations.
In his current role, Damon is responsible for working with solutions architects and client operations staff to develop strategic technology solutions that exceed clients’ needs. As the technical liaison between the growth team and technical or client operations personnel, Damon works with cross-organizational teams to develop innovative, financially sound, and operationally practical solutions to client challenges. Within proposal submissions and all growth opportunities, Damon always focuses first through the lens of what is best for the client with the goal of ensuring that IW remains a trusted advisor for new and existing clients.
Damon joined Intelligent Waves after serving as Chief Technology Officer at a Government IT Integration firm in Falls Church, VA. Throughout his career, Damon has routinely displayed the core characteristics that Intelligent Waves looks for in its employees – leadership, aptitude, quality, drive, and a positive attitude.
Damon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from James Madison University, has a VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) certification focused on design, and holds various industry certifications.
