RESTON, Va. – Intelligent Waves LLC, an end-to-end information technology government solutions provider, announced it was awarded an $89,200,000 indefinite delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract by the United States Air Force (USAF). The contract will provide crowd-sourced flight data collection support and big data analytics to the 59th Test and Evaluation Squadron (TES) located at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada.
“As a service-disabled veteran-owned small business, we are honored to support such a high-valued USAF weapon system program,” said Jared Shepard, president and chief executive officer of Intelligent Waves.
“This IDIQ prime contract award firmly establishes Intelligent Waves in the USAF C5ISR market space,” added Erin Horrell, chief growth officer for Intelligent Waves.
The 59th Test and Evaluation Squadron is assigned to the Air Combat Command 53rd Wing, 53rd Test Management Group and is responsible for the management of A-10, F-15C/E, F-16, F-22, F-35, HH-60, HC-130J and Guardian Angel weapon system testing, including force development evaluations, tactics development and evaluations, and software evaluations. Squadron personnel direct operational test planning and execution, as well as data gathering, analyzing, and reporting for the above systems operated by the combat air forces. The squadron also manages Operational Test and Evaluation of weapons and support systems in order to improve current and future U.S. Air Force combat capabilities.
Crowd-sourced flight data support, along with the development of the QRIP-III, RAPIDS, and knowledge management systems will provide a low-cost, non-intrusive solution that will allow the USAF to share flight test data across bases. By crowd-sourcing data from thousands of jets that were previously flying unmonitored, the USAF now has the capability to deliver a constant stream of data to a central repository.
Intelligent Waves will provide flight test and mission instrumentation modifications, improvements and operations for 53rd Wing test and mission aircraft instrumentation packages. Intelligent Waves will also support knowledge management system optimization in a multi-layered security environment to streamline the big data analysis process for expedient dissemination of data to USAF and other DoD stakeholders.
