The Distinguished Service Awards are dedicated to honoring successful veteran-owned businesses in the Greater Washington business community that have demonstrated strong business performance and have made meaningful contributions to help veterans succeed.
Intelligent Waves is a company that is owned and run by veterans. This means that the company is committed to attracting veteran candidates, translating their military language, and helping them make the transition into the civilian workforce. Warriors Ethos is a non-profit that helps veterans, service members, and their spouses. IW works with them. Since it started, IW has raised millions of dollars for this cause and given its employees hundreds of hours to help veterans in Northern Virginia get back into the workforce by mentoring them.
Additionally, IW supports the creation of high-paying tech job opportunities for veterans through its Admin to Engineer program (A2E), by empowering new employees with limited experience to become certified Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) Engineers in only 18 months. Each participant gets a personalized growth plan to help them become a cleared integration engineer in one of our hard-to-fill positions.
Intelligent Waves also offers Executive Leadership Support for Veterans. Tony Crescenzo, President and CEO of Intelligent Waves and a Marine, volunteers his time and efforts by actively serving as the NVTC Veterans Employment Initiative (VEI) Task Force Co-Chair and is on NVTC’s 2025 class of Board of Directors. He also serves on the Advisory Board of the Semper Fi Fund. Through Tony’s leadership, IW helps the NVTC VEI, which helps veterans and military spouses find jobs and helps member companies find, hire, train, and keep qualified veteran and military spouse employees.
