Intelligent Waves (IW), a leading tech integrator that delivers mission-focused multi-domain operational expertise and innovation to the government through high-impact technology solutions, is proud to announce it was named a finalist in the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce’s 2023 Distinguished Service Award in the Veteran-Owned Business of the Year category.

The Distinguished Service Awards honor individuals, companies, and non-profit organizations for their service to veterans in the Greater Washington business community. The Awards are presented in recognition of community stewardship and business leadership. Those in NOVA’s business community have dedicated time and resources to making this process easier for those who serve. This event recognizes those who have made meaningful contributions to help veterans succeed.

Intelligent Waves is a company that is owned and managed by veterans. As such, the company is committed to attracting veteran candidates and helping them make the transition into the civilian workforce, creating high-paying technology jobs. IW also supports Warriors Ethos, a non-profit that helps veterans, service members, and their spouses. Since it started, IW has raised millions of dollars for this cause and given its employees hundreds of hours to help veterans in Northern Virginia get back into the workforce by mentoring them.

Additionally, IW supports the creation of high-paying tech job opportunities for veterans through the DoD’s SkillBridge program. SkillBridge is a Department of Defense program to provide internship opportunities to transitioning military members from all branches with industry partner organizations. Intelligent Waves is supporting 60-180 day internships in a variety of areas across the organization, including Product Engineering, Talent Acquisition, Client Operations, Human Resources, and Project Management. We are continuing to expand opportunities within IW that are both remote and onsite. Our hope is to provide transitioning service members with the opportunity to understand how an organization functions and identify interests and strengths they possess while building new skills as well. We hope to have many join the IW team after their internships conclude.

Intelligent Waves also offers Executive Leadership Support for Veterans. Tony Crescenzo, President and CEO of Intelligent Waves and a Marine, volunteers his time and efforts by actively serving as the NVTC Veterans Employment Initiative (VEI) Task Force Co-Chair and is on NVTC’s 2025 class of Board of Directors. He also serves on the Advisory Board of the Semper Fi Fund. Through Tony’s leadership, IW helps the NVTC VEI, which helps veterans and military spouses find jobs and helps member companies find, hire, train, and keep qualified veteran and military spouse employees.
