Intelligent Waves (IW), a leading IT integrator that delivers mission-focused multi-domain operational expertise and innovation to the Government through high-impact technology solutions, has named Catalina Murillo as its new Chief People Officer. In her role, she is responsible for defining and leading the company’s human resources strategy.
Catalina brings nearly three decades of experience working in organizations across multiple industries, including hyper-growth IT/professional services, where she designed, led, and executed the delivery of scalable workforce solutions in alignment with strategic business goals across geographically dispersed organizations. Catalina is joining IW after an accomplished career at Maximus Inc., where she served as Senior Vice President within the Human Resources Organization.

Catalina earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English and Communication and her Master’s in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University before going on to get an MBA from The George Washington University School of Business. Catalina later earned her Ph.D/DEL in Executive Leadership from The University of Charleston School of Business. She has also been certified by Cornell University through their Modern CHRO & Strategies for Success Program and recently completed Preparing to be a Corporate Director from Harvard Business School.
